Description

By Asprey & Co., London, this magnificent work is modelled as a large gold eagle, swooping down to catch a leaping salmon.

Mounted on a rock crystal plinth, the exquisite white and yellow gold eagle's head is set with cut diamonds, and its eyes are made from ruby. It is set in turn on mineral specimen base, which is modelled as a pool of water, and which has a part oxidised salmon leaping out. The salmon's eyes are tsavorite garnet, and its head is also set with cut diamonds.

It bears the maker’s mark TVS (not traced), and comes in a fitted Asprey case.
