Of a tiered hexagonal form with balustraded galleries, these fine torah finials, or rimonim/rimmonim, feature repousse-work decoration and chased panels of Hebrew script.
They are stamped with post-1838 French duty marks, and are probably Middle Eastern or south to south-eastern Mediterranean in origin, dating to circa 1800. The set features a pair, together with the top half section of a single torah finial of a very similar form, in all likelihood from from the same workshop.
