This fine Bohemian tureen is crafted from the opaque, yet somewhat translucent glass called ‘milchglass’. The tureen, which features a wavy parcel gilt rim, is adorned with vignettes of courting couples and garden scenes, together with displays of flowers and birds. The domed cover is similarly adorned, while the stand is edged with a similar wavy parcel gilt rim and further scenes of courtly figures and floral bouquets.
