Masterfully hand-carved from wood, this antique cane features a captivating and unique design.Â
The handle depicts a three-headed figure. The central head is that of a bearded man with his eyes closed in a tranquil expression. Above him, there is a distorted figure, draped in a top that falls off his shoulder, with his head covered and one arm extending downward to partially shield the bearded man’s face. On the reverse side of the bearded man’s head, a dog or sheep’s face can be seen, with striking purple stone eyes.Â
A small eyelet is skilfully carved into the cane, providing a space for a wrist strap, facilitating the cane’s easy carrying. The tapering branch-shaped shaft concludes with a metal ferrule for protection.Â
This polished wooden cane stands as an outstanding example of folk art and would make an excellent addition to any collection of unique, handcrafted objects.Â
