The firm of Holland, Aldwinckle and Slater (1838-1932) was a successful silversmithing company based in London who operated for much of the 19th Century and beyond. This sumptuous set is a wonderful example of their refined, dignified Edwardian style, and is beautifully finished in the finest sterling silver.
The set contains five pieces all set within a fitted velvet-lined wooden case, including two large coffee pots, a milk jug, a sugar bowl and a sugar spoon. The coffee pots are both fitted with wooden handles and both feature hinged covers.
Each piece is marked to the front with a monogram for Holland, Aldwinckle and Slater, and additionally each piece is fully hallmarked to include maker's mark and sterling silver mark.

Coffee pots: height 21.5cm, widths 24cm and 26cm, depth 8cm
Milk jug height 10cm, width 10cm, depth 6.5cm
Sugar bowl: height 7.5cm, diameter 8.5cm
Box: height 12.5cm, width 38.5cm, depth 34.5cm
