Description
The item features an arched rectangular mirror panel within a giltwood frame. This frame is ornately carved with low-relief husk trail bands and sculptural scrollwork, stylised curled acanthus leaves and flowers. Carvings of flower vases decorate the sides of the frame. These scrolled leaf and flower carvings become larger and more elaborate on the frame’s arched top.
This mirror is exceptional for its large scale and for the detail of the carved decoration. It will add splendour and opulence to an interior, either antique or contemporary in its design.
