Description

The lantern takes square form and hangs from four curved gilt metal supports which meet to the top centre. The upper and lower sections of the lantern frame are formed of gilt metal friezes, each depicting reliefs of flying birds. Four stained glass panels are contained within the lantern frame, one to each side. Each panel features a central circular section depicting a bird nestled against florally decorated yellow glass, bordered with a circular blue section and surrounded to each corner by four large flowers.
