The centrepiece is modelled as a naturalistic cluster of tall, gilt brass reeds and bullrushes tied around a central vase of pale green opaline glass. The vase features a sensuous petal rim and fluting along its tapered length, which is set into a circular gilt brass socle base.
This piece is as versatile as it is beautiful, as the reeds and bullrushes can be tied around the vase toward the top, transforming the exuberant bouquet into a tall, slender column. As such, the diameter of the piece is 80cm when fully open, and this can be reduced to 32cm when closed.
