This beautiful octagonal side table was carved from hardwood in the Indian region of Kashmir. The table features an octagonal top with a border carved in relief with an abundance of floral sprays. The eight sides of the table are similarly formed: each features two pierced panels depicting leaves set within a border of low relief carved floral friezes. The table is a superb demonstration of wood carving, and a beautiful piece of Kashmiri design.
