The table features a rectangular top which is covered with a scagliola (imitation marble) design. This features a central oval which depicts a pair of figures in an Italianate landscape, with a castle and other white stone buildings in the distance. This medallion is framed by a variegated blue border and is flanked by four corner pieces, containing depictions of birds perched on stylised flowers. These are set within grey-blue frames, against a black ground. The edge of the table top is lined with a rectangular variegated blue border.
This table top is supported by four legs which are shaped like classical columns with ebonised shafts. The legs stand on a rectangular walnut base with shaped sides.
