Description

The mahogany desk stands on four tapered and gilt-fluted legs with brass tops and feet. The legs support a wide body, the frieze of which features a central drawer, flanked by two pairs of smaller drawers. These have central keyholes with brass diamond-shaped escutcheons. The drawers and sides of the cabinet are framed by rectangular brass borders.

Covering the top of the desk is green leather with an embossed gold Greek fret edge. Leather-topped writing slides can be pulled out from the sides of the cabinet’s body. These are fitted with brass ring handles.
