The lantern is mounted to the ceiling by a globular base appending a foliate and stalk-like support ending in a connective ring. From this issues forth three foliate arms which suspend an ovoid glass bulb enclosed in a net of ormolu rope, decorated with masks, floral garlands, foliate motifs and finished with a pine cone beneath. Three further glass lights are attached to the central section, stylized as flowers.
