The three-piece Meissen porcelain garniture comprises a central mantel clock and a pair of flanking candelabra. The set is crafted in delicately decorated porcelain, featuring finely detailed figures and flowers that are synonymous with the Meissen style of porcelain.
The central mantel clock represents the four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and autumn. The clock is of curvaceous form, set upon three curled scrolling feet, and is centred with a circular clock dial of white enamel with black Roman numerals. The clock dial, banded in ormolu, is surrounded by naturalistically crafted porcelain summer flowers, above which is a central surmounting figure of a putto representing 'Summer', shown holding a chalice and wearing a wreath of leaves and flowers. There are three further putto sitting on each of the scrolling legs. The left figure, representing 'Winter', warms himself by a small fire, whilst the central putto represents 'Autumn' and holds a sheaf of wheat. The third figure on the right holds garlands of flowers and represents 'Spring'.
The flanking pair of candelabra each feature two porcelain figures of children in nineteenth-century dress mounted to the bases, beneath a central column issuing five lights set on flower-encrusted branches.
The bases are marked with the blue underglaze crossed sword emblem of Meissen.
