The burr-amboyna side cabinet features a marble top with a chamfered upper edge set above a drawer with an ormolu (gilt bronze) mounted frieze. This frieze is fashioned with foliate motifs that wind about a pinecone surmounted staff, all in ormolu. The centre of the drawer includes an ormolu plate of an image, in bas relief, of cherubim within a pastoral landscape. The drawer sits above an open spaced, mirror-backed shelf. The face of this shelf is of ormolu and features a partial gallery with a Greek key pattern.
Flanking the sides of the cabinet are engaged Ionic columns, with ormolu capitals and bases. The main body of the cabinet features three doors. The two flanking doors, each lockable, are decorated with an ebony inlaid faux gallery design. The central door is mounted with a stylised butterfly-and-vase emblem in ormolu surrounded by a geometrical motif in inlaid ebony. Each of the three cupboards contains one shelf. The entire cabinet sites upon four peg feet.
