Description

Crafted around 1900, this cane is graced with an impressive knight's armoured head made of silver and rock crystal.

The handle, a prominent feature, is meticulously carved from rock crystal, with the artist employing various finishing techniques to create depth and interest. While most of the handle is made from clear rock crystal, certain details, such as the visor, are crafted from frosted crystal. The plume stands out as a striking element where both clear and frosted rock crystal are seamlessly combined. The intricate handle is adorned with chased silver featuring nature-inspired designs.

The collar, also crafted from silver, mirrors the handle’s embellishments with palmette and swirling motifs.

The sturdy shaft is made from ebonised wood and finishes with a protective metal ferrule.

Inspired by military history, this cane is a remarkable addition for any collector with an interest in this subject.
