This antique silver tea service embodies the grandeur and opulence of late Imperial Russia, and would make a stunning gift for one who enjoys refined luxury.
The set comprises a tea pot, a sugar bowl, and a creamer, all of which are crafted from silver in a distinctive, refined Neoclassical style. Each piece is engraved to the body with the interlaced monogram ALI in Cyrillic. All three pieces have gilded interiors and ebonised wood insulators. Each piece is marked to the underside 'AM' for the Russian maker A. Mart'yanov, of St. Petersburg, and each features an '84' hallmark, which signifies 87.5% purity silver.
