Description

The drinking set has been crafted from crystal glass which has been finely cut. The set includes a collection of flat-bottomed water glasses, red and white wine glasses, champagne flutes, a water jug and a decanter. The items’ bodies have been delicately cut with cross-hatchings and fluting, and their rims are parcel gilt.

The set was created in France by the Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis Crystal). This important glass-making company was founded in 1767 but its roots stretch back to 1586. This set demonstrates the exceptional quality and elegance of Saint-Louis glassware.
