Antique Venetian etched glass wall mirror

This magnificent Venetian wall mirror features a main mirror of elongated octagonal shape, with a three-sided top and three-sided base. The facet edged mirror is set within a mirrored frame, while the bottom of the mirror is appended with a shaped crest, and the top is surmounted with an elaborate multi-piece floral crown. The frame, crest, and crown of the mirror are superbly etched with abstracted floral motifs, which are highlighted against the foil of a dark background depending on the nature and angle of the light the mirror reflects. The mirror is a superb example of early twentieth century Venetian craftsmanship, and an ingenious piece of design.
