Ken Moroney (b. 1949) is a versatile English oil painter. Born in London, Moroney received little in the way of formal training, and instead is largely self-taught. Despite this, his work has achieved notable success and featured in numerous international exhibitions, including ones at the Royal Academy in London
Moroney’s art is characterised by its striking use of colour, which enables the artist to skilfully capture scenes of light and movement in a few brush strokes. In 1976, the Royal Academy nominated Moroney as being one of the few promising young artists to emerge this century, stating that, "Moroney has considerable talent, any painting purchased now can only be seen as a sound long term investment."
