Rebecca Emes was an English silversmith who was celebrated for her tableware and household wares.
In 1796 her husband, John Emes, a watercolour painter and engraver, became a partner of the London silversmith company owned by Thomas Chawner where Rebecca began silversmithing. After John died in 1808, Rebecca became a partner in the company with Edward Barnard, and the business operated under the name Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard.
After Rebecca withdrew from the company in 1829, it operated under the name Edward Barnard and Sons Ltd.
