Composed in the form of a putto holding aloft a lamp, this beautiful Belle Époque lamp is as much a piece of sculpture as it is an implement of lighting.
This beautiful Belle Époque lamp takes the form of a putto. The patinated bronze putto stands in contrapposto on a gilt bronze rocky base, which in turn is supported by a circular green marble podium. The putto, who wears a narrow shoulder sash and piece of modesty fabric, both of which are parcel gilt, holds a gilt foliate lamp shaft aloft. The lamp shaft culminates in a lighting fixture.
