The ewer stands on a splayed foot and features a bulbous body with a slender neck and shaped spout. It is fitted with a single looping handle.
The ewer's foot, body and neck are covered with a blue and white overlay. These sections are finely parcel gilt with scrolling patterns and covered with colourful enamel beads which imitate jewels and flowers. The handle of the ewer is left clear and its edges finely parcel gilt.
Designs have been cut into the glass ewer’s foot, body and neck. The foot features cut oval medallions and the lower body is decorated with cut foliate and undulating patterns. Bands of shaped rectangular panels are cut into the ewer's upper body and neck. These contain parcel gilt floral motifs and enamel jewels.
