Description

This superb flower model combines several precious hardstones with the impressive cloisonné enamelling technique.

Emerging from the planter is a metal trunk, which has been treated with resin to evoke the natural colours and textures of bark. The trunk extends into branches, which are comprised of metal wrapped with brown thread. At the end of each branch sits a hardstone flower, cast from a variety of different semi-precious stones including carnelian, jade, and rose quartz. These stones symbolise courage, strength, and love respectively, which imbues the model with spiritual significance. Each model is centred by a bright beaded stigma that contrasts nicely with the hues of the crystals. Amongst the flowers are several beautifully carved nephrite leaves, which again provide a nice colour contrast.

The model sits within a cloisonné enamel pot, which pairs a pale blue ground with a colourful floral design. Gold touches can be seen throughout, including the lip, feet, and cloisons themselves. The upper rim features additional geometric designs.

This sweet model is a true objet d’art, that would brighten any interior space.
