Cloisonné and gilt metal antique French toilette mirror

The mirror is of oval shape and is raised by a Y-shaped support ornately stylised as flowering branches springing from a shaped stem set upon a circular base. The support holds the mirror so that it can be tilted back and forth and swivelled left and right. The frame and support are decorated all over in the intricate cloisonné enamel technique with polychrome geometric flowers and bows on a turquoise ground. The crown of the mirror is stylized as a fleur-de-lys, and the mirror features gilt metal finials at the joints.
