The clock set consists of a central clock and a pair of flanking vases. The clock is of rectangular plan and stands on a stepped gilt bronze plinth with panels of cloisonne enamel above. The clock case is similarly decorated with panels of cloisonne enamel, depicting floral motifs on a turquoise ground. The clock dial, to the centre of the case, is framed in gilt bronze and decorated in cloisonne enamel. The Roman numerals on the dial are depicted in black on parcel gilt circular panels. The sides of the clock are mounted with gilt bronze pillars and cherub figures, and the arched top of the clock case is surmounted by a further cherub figure, together with an enamelled turret with gilt bronze finial.
The pair of vases are similarly decorated, taking an ovoid shape and mounted at the sides with winged dragon form handles and surmounted with lids terminating in cone-shaped finials. The set has been retailed by Riddel, Belfast, and features their signature, reading 'Riddel / Belfast' on the clock dial.
