Description

This sterling silver decanter is hammered and artfully textured with mock tears to mimic the form of a wine bottle complete with mounted cork stopper. The decanter bears silver marks to its base, including the German 'crescent and crown' hallmark, '925' to signify sterling silver (i.e. 92.5%), and an unintelligible maker's mark. The base is also signed indistinctly, dated to '79', and inscribed with the inventory number '#9283'.
