Description

Crafted in the 20th century, this delightful collection of porcelain bird models pays tribute to the charm and beauty of the avian world.

The smaller blue jay and nuthatch were produced by Beswick Pottery, a renowned English ceramics manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent. Both are vibrantly hand-painted. The blue jay particularly stands out with its soft pastel tones, enhanced by a matte bisque porcelain finish. The nuthatch, finished in a glossy glaze, perches on a rock with its beak endearingly tilted upward.

The remaining two birds were made by West German potteries - Gerold Porzellan and Kaizer Porzellan. One, a glazed porcelain blue jay, is masterfully painted with deep blue hues. The other, rendered in bisque porcelain, features natural earthy tones that emphasize the fine sculptural detail.

Each model is marked on the underside with its respective maker’s stamp, authenticating its origin.

Together, these four charming birds form a characterful and decorative ensemble—perfect for adding a touch of nature-inspired elegance to any interior.
