Description

Comprising a set of nine pieces, including two decanters, jars, small salts and a large open tazza, these superb glass wares exemplify very fine English glassmaking in the course of the twentieth century.

Consisting of two hobnail cut decanters with stoppers, of differing designs, a pair of low hobnail cut glass salts, one jug, a smaller decanter with handles, a large, flat-lidded jar, a tall slender flask with smooth surfaces, and a larger dish or tazza, the latter of which are decorated and engraved with beautiful bird imagery and floral motifs, in contrast with the geometric cut-glass designs of the other wares.

Serving a variety of functions, each piece is meticulously worked and finished, to offer a harmonious, functional, and elegant glassware collection, variously engraved and designed, in a charming, humble, and beautiful English manner.
