This beautiful Greek Orthodox cross is crafted from carved wood, silver, and coral. The central body of the cross is of wood and is carved in low relief with a central image of the crucifixion surrounded by vignettes of Christ and saints. The wooden crucifix is set within an ornate silver frame, which encloses the various vignettes in decorative arches and is mounted with carved coral beads. The silver frame is supported by a silver stem, which terminates in a domed foot moulded with foliate designs.
