Description

This extensive Dursley porcelain dinner service is hand painted by the British artist James Skerrett. The service is comprised of two large lidded tureens, a large oval platter, and a service of large, medium, and small plates, in addition to soup bowls, a sauce boat, salt and pepper pots, napkin rings, and a table bell. The porcelain is beautifully painted by Skerrett with bunches of ripe fruit. The colour scheme incorporates the rich tones of the fruit in addition to beautiful sky-blue banding and gilt edges and borders.

The pieces are marked underside ‘Bone China / DFP / Dursley Fine Porcelain / Made in England / Handpainted by James Skerrett’. The painted images on the porcelain are signed ‘J. Skerrett’.
