This eclectic collection includes twenty examples from a variety of countries, of a variety of materials, and of a variety of breeds. The various objects include dogs crafted from silvered and gilt bronze mounted on marble and copper plinths; other dogs are wrought from silvered metal, cold-painted bronze, patinated bronze, and a whole host of other materials. The group demonstrates the wide variety of styles and materials prevalent in European decorative art at the turn of the 20th Century.
