The table is built in the Egyptian Revival, or neo-Egyptian style. It rests on four gilt and polychrome-painted bronze fluted legs which rest on painted bronze caryatids in the form of winged sphinx. They rest on a walnut base stretcher on four paw feet with curved edges. The table top is mahogany with a walnut border and is inlaid with mother of pearl.
