This beautiful antique mantel clock is notable for its depiction of the Greek god Cupid, who stands poised with a quiver of arrows across his back.

Description

The clock dial sits at the centre of the case and features Roman numerals. It is flanked by two figures at either side: one is of a standing female figure in Classical robes, the other a winged cupid figure with his bow at his feet and quiver on his back. There are also a number of other Classical decorative features on the clock, including an urn and a fountain to the lower part. The clock is set on a green marble base with four ormolu bun feet.
