Fabergé style pearl, silver-gilt and charoite lily of the valley model
Style of Fabergé (Russian, founded 1842)
£6,500
Lily of the valley symbolises joy, love, luck, and purity, and this exquisite example is masterfully crafted from exceptional materials, including pearls and charoite.
This exquisite objet d’art is crafted in the distinguished Fabergé style. The renowned firm was founded by Gustav Fabergé (1814–1893) in 1842 and later led by his son, Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920). Specialising in luxury objects such as jewellery, decorative frames, and intricate floral models, Fabergé’s creations were highly coveted by the most influential figures of the era, including Tsar Alexander III (1845–1894).
At the heart of this remarkable lily of the valley model is a rich purple charoite vase, sculpted into a classic form. Charoite is revered as a stone of transformation and unconditional love, infusing this elegant piece with deeper symbolism.
Gracefully emerging from the vase are slender, gilded silver stems, each one gently arching downward and ending in a finely textured bell. The flowers themselves are formed from luminous white pearls, their pristine hue offering a striking contrast against the warm gold stems. Among the blossoms, a single gold-toned leaf adds an extra touch of refinement.
With its charming proportions and sophisticated design, this exceptional flower model is a superb addition to any collection of objets d’art, embodying both artistic mastery and timeless elegance.
