Delicately and expertly crafted from a selection of vibrant, high-quality materials, this enchanting floral model pays homage to Fabergé’s renowned masterpieces.
This exquisite floral objet d’art is crafted in the style of Fabergé, the legendary Russian firm renowned for its mastery in jewelry and fine decorative arts. Founded in 1842 by Gustav Fabergé (1814–1893) and later led by his son, Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920), the house of Fabergé created masterpieces highly sought after by the most influential figures of the time. Today, their works are treasured in some of the world's most prestigious collections, including the British Royal Collection.
Rising from a polished rock crystal base, a slender vermeil (silver-gilt) stem gracefully extends upwards, drawing attention to the delicate polychrome floral arrangement above. Several nephrite leaves, speckled with natural variations, enhance the realism of the piece. The striking blue glass flowers, skilfully sculpted to resemble bluets, add a rare and distinctive touch, as this shade is an uncommon feature in objects of this kind. Traditionally, the bluet flower symbolises love and happiness, while its soft blue tones evoke a sense of tranquillity. Vermeil is also used for the sepal and stigma, its warm gold hue beautifully complementing the vibrant blossoms.
A masterpiece of craftsmanship, this exceptional floral model is a coveted addition to any collection.
