This set consists of a central clock and a pair of flanking vases, all of which are designed in the Art Nouveau style. While the items were crafted in the early 20th Century, the lapis lazuli veneer was added more recently.
The clock stands on four, pierced ormolu feet, which are cast as looping and entwined vine-like forms. This base supports a smooth, waisted ormolu socle. Above, the vase-like lapis lazuli body of the clock is mounted with a central, circular white enamel dial. This features Arabic Numerals, and is set within an ormolu egg-and-dart moulded bezel, which is framed by a foliate ormolu cartouche. The clock body is fitted with two graceful pierced handles, which are cast as delicate flowering vines. Surmounting the body is a lid, with a smooth, waisted ormolu base, a pierced foliate edge, and domed lapis lazuli top. This is crowned by an ormolu trefoil finial.
Flanking the clock are two lapis lazuli and ormolu vases, which are similarly designed. The vases likewise stand on ormolu bases, and have lapis lazuli bodies, which are fitted with two vine-like ormolu handles, and topped by lids. Unlike the clock, however, the vases have slim, elongated lapis necks which are covered by lids crafted wholly from ormolu.
