Description

This ormolu and metal chandelier is crafted in the distinctive French Empire style. The chandelier features a shallow bowl-form body, which is crafted from metal with a lustrous brown patination. The bowl supports nine ormolu lights, with an elaborate swan-form ormolu mount set between each ormolu branch. The underside of the body is set with an ormolu pomegranate drop finial, while the whole body is suspended by three ormolu chains from an upper patinated metal mount. This mount is encompassed by an ormolu corona comprised of elaborate palmate forms.
