The clock stands on a square red marble plinth, on four bracket feet with gadrooned ormolu (gilt bronze) bases. The top of the marble plinth is mounted with an ormolu guilloche band and multicoloured cloisonné enamel plaques, featuring stylised floral motifs. The plinth is topped by a green onyx slab which is decorated with ormolu rosettes and flower swags.
The body of the clock is glazed and contains three shelves—the bottom of which is covered with red marble and the top two with green onyx. These upper shelves are edged with cloisonné enamel drapery-like bands. The body’s side and front glass panels are set within arched ormolu frames. Decorating the corners of the case are free-standing columns with foliate ormolu bases and cloisonné enamel shafts, encircled by gadrooned ormolu bands. The columns are topped by ormolu foliate capitals with muqarnas tops. Shaped cloisonné enamel plaques and ormolu rosettes decorate the space between the columns.
The clock’s body is topped by a cube-shaped red marble case which is edged with green onyx. The green onyx bands are mounted with ormolu beading, rosettes and flower trails. At the centre of the clock, there is a circular white enamel dial with a floral cloisonné enamel centre. This dial features black Arabic Numerals and it is set within an ormolu stylised egg-and-dart frame. The dial is displayed behind a glass lens, within an ormolu beaded bezel. The sides of the case feature similar dials, one of which serves as a thermometer and the other as a barometer. The top of the case is edged with cloisonné enamel drapery forms which feature ormolu rosettes and drop finials.
