This fine hall lantern is crafted from brass in the Neoclassical style. The lantern features a square-profile frame, with a pierced frieze above and below and a glazed pane between. The top of each side of the lantern is adorned with decorative pierced crowns comprised of a classicising urn issuing scrolling acanthus leaves. The lantern is supported by four brackets, which issue from a decorative mount set at the end of a long shaft, which in turn culminates in a ceiling mount above.
