This fine clock set is a beautiful work which combines a range of decorative styles to produce a garniture of the highest order. The set comprises a central clock and a pair of flanking vases: the central clock is built in an architectural form, modelled as four columns on a shaped base with the clock dial and pendulum in the centre.
The clock dial and pendulum are housed within a glass case within the four columns: the clock dial features Arabic numerals and is inscribed with an indistinct, partially rubbed signature. The clock case is surmounted by a large ormolu eagle with fine detailing.
The pair of flanking vases are decorated similarly, and take an ovoid form with twin ormolu handles and covers with pinecone finials. Each one is mounted to the front with Classical style ormolu mounts, and each one is set on a shaped square base on bun feet.
