This impressive centre table is crafted in the Empire style from malachite and ormolu. The table features a rectangular malachite tabletop above a recessed malachite apron adorned with classicising ormolu mounts. The top is supported by four ormolu legs in the form of caryatids, with malachite square-profile structural supports behind. The malachite supports and the caryatid legs sit on a H-form malachite stretcher, which is centred with a large ormolu krater-form vase flanked by winged sphinxes.
