This fine silver fruit basket features a boat shape, the sides wrought from pierced interwoven anthemia, the effect of which is to produce an elaborate lattice. The sides are also mounted with finely crafted laurel swags and blank medallions, while the prow of each end culminates in a finely moulded handle. The basket is raised on four scrolled feet modelled, as with the sides, in the form of anthemia.
