Böhm, Hermann (Austrian, active from 1866)

Hermann Böhm (also spelled Boehm) was an accomplished goldsmith and enamellist working in Vienna in the late 19th Century. He is widely regarded as one of the leading enamellists in Europe at the time, and many of his pieces have secured Viennese enamel the reputation which it now enjoys.

He worked mainly in the neo-Renaissance, or Renaissance revival style, and was inspired by the Limoges enamellists of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance. Boehm received a merit for his exhibit at the 1873 Vienna Exhibition.
