Description

Of hexagonal shape, the body inset with six larger and six smaller gold lacquer panels inlaid with mother-of-pearl, stained wood, opal and other natural gemstones depicting birds, flowers, trees, vases, teapots, jugs and baskets, framed by banded design and spaced by partially enamelled silver mythical beasts, the cover with enamelled floral design surmounted by an eagle, the base with further enamelled floral design on six outward spreading feet and signed to the underside in a gold lacquer reserve.
