Of typical proportions for the Régence style, this large mirror is formed with two connected sections- the rectangular lower part and an arched top. It displays classical motifs from the period in the carved wood, such as shells, griffin heads, flowers, straight borders to the lower section and curved borders for the arched top. Each section is inset with multiple additional mirrored panels within the borders, displaying a sense of exuberance.
