Description

Crafted in France in the late nineteenth century, this excellent piece is a large glass, wood and gilt-metal mounted vitrine, made in fine Neoclassical style.

Grand in size, yet simple in design, it features column-like pillars to the four corners, and combines grandeur with a charming modesty. The pillars are mounted with small, bright gilt elements like column capitals, while their lengths are lined with gilt painted marks. It opens up wide with a large amount of display and storage space. An excellent piece it makes for a fine addition to a grand interior.
