The clock set is comprised of a clock and two flanking candelabra. The clock stands on an oval flecked grey marble base, decorated with ormolu (gilt bronze) bead-and-reel, beaded, and foliate bands, and set on four ormolu leafy berry-like ball feet. Two patinated bronze, semi-nude putti stand on the oval base. They serve as link-boys, who hold burning torches and carry the clock case on their backs, which takes the form of a sedan chair. At the centre of the case is a circular white enamel dial, which is decorated with Arabic Numbers, linked by painted flower swags. The dial is signed with the name of the manufacturer, 'Fd Gervais / Ft du Bronzes / A Paris'. An ormolu pendulum, with a sun-burst motif end, hangs below the dial, visible through the glazed front of the lower part of the case. The dial is topped by ormolu flowers, laurel branches, and a foliate finial.
The pair of candelabra that flank the clock are designed in a similar style. They stand on marble bases, mounted with bands of ormolu ornament, and set on foliate ormolu bun feet. On each base, there stands a patinated bronze, semi-nude winged putto, who holds an ormolu five-light candelabrum above his head. The candelabra are cast as cornucopias, from which spring the lights in the form of roses, blooming to reveal candle-holders.
