Description

The rosewood tea table stands on four cabriole legs, which are set on ormolu (gilt bronze) scrolled feet. Ormolu mounts, taking the form of stylised acanthus leaves, decorate the tops of the legs. These legs are connected by shaped aprons.

The table features a shaped top which is decorated with a beautiful marquetry design. This depicts a central paisley motif surrounded by scrolled acanthus leaves and flowers. The border of the table is ornamented with flowers, leafy scrollwork, cartouches and seashells. The table top is edged with ormolu and fitted with two handles.
