Louis XVI style ormolu and pink Sevres style porcelain clock set

This fine example of a Louis XVI style clock set comprises a central clock and a pair of flanking vases made of ormolu and pink Sevres style porcelain. The jeweled Sevres style porcelain clock face is set within an ormolu case and is intricately painted with flowers and butterflies. It is centered with a dial in Roman Numerals and features a slightly rubbed signature of 'Arthur Jack / Paris & Cheltenham.'. The pair of vases are similarly decorated, with each featuring a cherub painted onto the porcelain and fine ormolu mounts.

Retailed by Arthur Jack, Paris and Cheltenham; stamped to the reverse of the interior mechanism and signed on the clock face.
