This fine guéridon, or circular table, is crafted from malachite and both patinated and gilt bronze (the latter known as ormolu) in the distinctive Neoclassicism of the Louis XVI style.
The table features a circular malachite tabletop encompassed by a moulded ormolu border, set above a recessed patinated bronze apron adorned with ormolu rinceaux mounts with Greek key pattern friezes above and below. The apron is supported by three square profile legs, each leg moulded profusely with acanthus leaf detailing. The legs are joined by a stretcher, which is centred by an ormolu urn set with malachite cabochons and surmounted by a flambeau finial. The legs are raised by ormolu toupie feet.
